Monopowiki:FAQ
From Monopowiki
Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding Monopowiki
1) How much is a page? To get complete control over the content of a page for a full year cost $25. You can also create, edit and profit from any page that is not purchased for free. Of course, any edits you make to that page can be removed or changed.
2) Why one year instead of forever like the other sites? We want to create an excellent wiki with quality content and interlinking to benefit all our contributors and page owners. By making a purchaser commit
3) Can I freely sell my pages? Yes! Once you own a page, you can sell it to anyone. No need to pay us royalties or anything like the Million Dollar Wiki had.
4) Why another paid wiki? There was a major problem with the other paid wikis. After their initial promotion period where traffic was high, there was nothing to keep visitors coming back. One way to get people to come back is through search engine results, which are driven by interlinking of pages. This didn't happen on the other wikis because there was no incentive to. We help solve this by opening up all the pages not purchased to the public and page owners. With these pages, everyone can interlink between articles driving search engine traffic and adding weight to the pages.
5) What's Monopowiki mean? It's a combination of monopoly, as in page purchasers have complete control of their purchased page, and wiki, in which all other pages are available to freely edit.
6) How do I upload images? First you must go to Special:Upload. There, upload your image, and follow the instructions at the top of the page to include your image in your page. Make sure you remember the name of your file.
7) When will my page be locked? We must first approve the page selected and confirm your payment. Generally this process takes no more than a couple hours but during busy times, it might take a full day for approval.
